The Long Man Inn is a welcoming, independent Edwardian pub with four overnight guest rooms, in the heart of Wilmington, a handsome and historic single-street village nestled within the South Downs National Park. Just off the 100 mile-long South Downs Way National Trail we are perfectly situated for walkers (we are dog-friendly), cyclists, locals and visitors to rest up and enjoy first-class traditional food, local ales and attentive service in our cosy pub.

Black Horse Hotel, Wilmington, 1908

Built in 1908 as the Black Horse Hotel, a small Edwardian hostelry, it was rechristened The Giant’s Rest in 2000 and then born again as the Long Man Inn in 2023 in honour of the Long Man of Wilmington.
